SAFE TOWING
All modern vehicles have a rated towing capacity that needs to be reviewed prior to attaching anything of size. Rules do vary for older vehicles, but generally you are able to tow up to 1.5 times your vehicle weight (with no cargo). It’s often a good rule to get your vehicle weighed at the nearest weight station if you are unsure.
To protect your family, choose a properly designed and tested towbar from a certified manufacturer. The best towbars meet Australian Standard: AS4177.
